My Story

I am married to a wonderful Veterinarian and we have owned our Veterinary Hospital for over 25 years. After analyzing numerous software programs, like you, we chose AVImark®. My college degree in Business Education with my background in business and computer training facilitated learning this program and training our staff and Doctors. I acquired invaluable experience working in our office with this program for over a year before becoming an AVImark® Trainer, enhancing my understanding of the integration of this comprehensive program.

My experience in computer training allowed me to easily recognize how critical training is for new AVImark® users. Each practice has unique needs and I enjoy working with Doctors and staff to define and implement those needs.

Education & Experience:

  • Authorized AVImark® Veterinary Software System Training Representative since 1999
  • Conducted over 500 on-site AVImark® trainings all over the United States & Canada.
  • Conducted over 200 hours of AVImark® online training sessions.
  • Conducting 2-3 Training Seminars each year.
  • Veterinary Hospital - Installed, set up from scratch, trained doctors / staff & implemented AVImark
  • Mortgage Banking: Computer Systems and Software V.P. (Manager/Trainer) for the Western U.S., (7 years)
  • B.S. in Business Education, Northern Arizona University

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time for training for NEW USERS?
I believe the best time for new user training is between the first and final passes of your conversion. This gives the new user time to fine tune their Treatment and Inventory lists as well as System Tables, Estimates, Reminders and various other areas to assure complete setup and linking prior to going "live" with the program. It also allows time for staff to become comfortable navigating AVImark® in those areas associated with each staff members' responsibility.

When is the best time for EXPERIENCED user training?
Anytime is a good time to provide your Doctors & staff with information and training on areas of uncertainty or non-use. Most clinics not receiving formal AVImark® Training are missing key knowledge in a variety of areas.

Who can I get to network my computers?
I recommend each hospital/clinic establish a relationship with a local networking company - one that can readily respond in an emergency. AVImark® publishes a Networking Guide which is available to you (if you are an IT type person and would like to do-it-yourself) and /or your networking company to ensure compatibility with AVImark® functionality.
